Mike Lee is IN!

The Deseret News and KSL TV are calling the Utah Senatorial Race on behalf of Mike Lee.  Mike Lee has claimed victory in a photo posted on his facebook page.  In November common sense and constitutional wisdom will again inhabit Washington D.C.  This time liberty is making a full-on assault on the cancerous progressive movement.  The fix will be tough, but will preserve this country for the following generations.  As a constitutional scholar, Mike Lee will work on our behalf to restore American values to government.  With the help of other conservatives now struggling in congress, and new representatives coming to Washington, I hope Mr. Lee will help usher in a great restoration of our country!

Bennett is Out!

First, I would like to say that despite the amount of vitriol coming from the Tea Party about Bennett, He served the Republican party well for three terms.  The problem with Bennett is that he does not have his finger on the pulse of Utah or America.  It was once common for the majority of Americans to largely ignore government proceedings.  The people were more than willing to elect politicians like Bennett to pursue a career in the politics, and make decisions for them.  This has changed. Gun Rights and Interstate Commerce

In Montana and now Utah, legislation has been introduced that questions the ATF’s power to regulate weapons that are manufactured, sold, and used within state boundaries.  The purpose of this legislation is two-fold.

The first goal for this legislation is to once again bring to light the rights all Americans have when it comes to self-armament.  The fact is that the federal nor state governments have any right to regulate what individuals use to arm and protect themselves with.  The Constitution does not provide any restriction on types of weapons to be allowed the people.  In fact, it specifically stated that the federal government is unauthorized to meddle in this area!  I have already discussed this in another post. March on Washington – Tea Party Time

September 12th, 2001

I remember this day for one distinct reason.  After the previous traumatising day, looking at the brutal attack waged against my fellow Americans, I left my home and began my morning bike rideto school.  I was concerned for what lay ahead.  Was anywhere safe?  How many attacks would happen today, I thought?  As I rode down the streets, I noticed something that made me feel a little more comfortable.  Before me, in front of each home stood the flag.  Old glory hung, half staff, on every pole, but in front of each house it was displayed with pride and solidarity.  It was an odd feeling seeing that every American felt the same way.  Patriotism was displayed in every window.  There was no bickering between partisans.  This fact had been displayed boldly by the singing of God Bless America the day before in congress.  America was changed.  We were fearful, but determined.  There was only one collective thought, we will triumph!
