I came across this today while searching other conservative blogs, and must say I am very impressed! I am not decided on the best course of action for reform our nation, whether it be through the Republican party or a new party. The benefit of the using the Republicans is that they, as Glenn Beck has stated, already have the framework in place. However, this existing framework has a stigma attached to it that many find distasteful. It would be best that the reformist movement be open to left and right wing individuals that love the constitution and our country. All this said I would like to share this new “American Federalist Party” platform being developed online. It is very interesting and in many ways a perfect example of the concerns of We the People. First, I will say that both my Mother and Father are republican. Most of the people I grew up with declare proudly that they are Republican. Therefore, I grew up partial to that point of view. Mostly because that was just the “right” way to think, pardon the overused pun. Now Republican ideals always made sense to me. They made sense in the same way that my religious ideals did. The concepts are not always easy, but in the end, they are the most beneficial to the individual and society. As I grew older, I have come to find that Republicans are just politicians with all the faults that come with the title. Continue reading
